In 1976, Steve Jobs was working out of his parent's garage and sold a personal computer to a Mr. Charles Ricketts, who lived four miles away.
Twenty-eight years later, I discovered and purchased that very computer in a storage auction.
Who was Ricketts? Could the sale to him have been the very first sale of an Apple to an individual? Why did this historic artifact end up being auctioned at a sheriff's sale?
My search for answers, and the investigation of the mystery, resulted in the new book called 'The First Apple'.
